Norm serves as the lead pastor of First Baptist Church Calgary and is marked by a genuine love for Christ and shepherding His church. He is passionate about God’s word, the Bible, and is committed to be faithful in preaching, teaching, leadership and discipleship.
His life and ministry manifest the understanding that the Gospel of Grace declares Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. One of his favorite verses in the Bible is:
1 Corinthians 15:10 “By the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.”
Norm, along with his wife Leona, are seeking to evidence the love of Christ to those around them. They have three adult children who, according to Norm and Leona, have all married wonderful spouses. Norm also enjoys fly-fishing, running, reading and coffee.
